From Bandit: Boy, what a great night this was!!! When Staffer Dad let us out, I went behind George's house and found the best snackie treat ever - a great big bird!!!! He was just lying there. I think Ernie must have been playing with him and left him behind for me. He (the bird, not Ernie) was tasty. I brought the bird back to the yard, but when Staff Dad saw it, he called me by my first and last names, so I knew I was in trouble. But I didn't care because it was really good. Staffer Dad said he didn't like the crunching noise it made when I bit its head, and he tried to take it away from me. But wouldn't let him have it. It's now buried in a really safe place. Boy what a great night this was.

Isn't fresh food the greatest. Cricket got so good at catching birds for us to snack on that the staffers put a cat bell on her collar ... she is so embarrassed ... A dachshund wearing a prissy kitty bell and jiggling everywhere she goes.
Oh please don't tell our staff that!
The crunchy noise sounds great. Staffer Dad must have a weak tummy. Of course I did get more than a little jumpy when cats used to bring me "gifts." OK, I screamed more than once. But my favorite gift was the live, and healthy, chipmunk that one cat dropped on my lap. I screamed, the chipmunk stopped playing "possum" and tried to run away. The cat chased the chipmunk and I chased the cat, who clearly did not understand why I rejected his present. The chipmunk made it to safety, the cat looked at me with disdain and and went back to search for more treasures. I went back to my book.
Mmmmm...fresh birds are the best. Last time I had take-out, the feathers didn't sit too well on my tummy. Not to worry though; I was so excited when Staffer Dad got home that I spit them right up on his shoe! Then I felt much better.
